People walk around
In masks every day
Claiming to be a friend,
While they are out for themselves
Except for a very few
Who dare to be true,
Wearing nothing but
Their real faces
Friends swarming on you
Like nasty mosquitoes
Taking, taking, and taking
Until your energy are drained
And you are on the floor
Bleeding and dying
As people scurry around
Taking what they want
Only a very few true friends
Will stop by and help you
And nurse you back to health,
Feeding you with their energy
And you are all whole again
Yet beaten, scarred, and tired
But more older, wiser, and experienced
For you know better
