Growing weaker By aldo kraas, www.PoetryPoem.com/poet11586 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
I have walked for quite awhile,
And though it has only been a year or two,
It feels as though I have been trudging along for a lifetime or two,
Persevering through every little comment,
Every little look,
Every name they happened to come up with,
I amgrowing weaker,
I thought that I was growing stronger,
Thriving off of everything I survived,
But that thought was blinding me from the truth,
I have not dodged the stones they throw with their words,
In fact I moved in their line of fire,
Every hit breaking off another piece of me,
The weaker Igrow the harder it is to keep going,
I will not last much longer,
I have already began to crawl,
Soon I will come to a halt,
And fall to hard to get up,
That is when they will ambush,
And hit with all they have,
Stopping only if there is nothing left.
