I can sometimes hear them whisper,
Their eyes only shimmer
At the peak of each night.
They tell me to do things,
Unforgivable sins
That only paint
My stained wings more.
You're our light in the dark,
They murmur against my ear.
Chilling voices
Bringing tears to my eyes.
I can see them sometimes,
When my mind is fragile
And my soul vulnerable.
Their pitch eyes
Stare lovingly at my own.
You're our angel,
They whisper each midnight,
Even with broken wings.
I can sometimes hear them whisper,
When they think I'm asleep.
I can sometimes feel them with me,
When my sessions with the doctors are over,
And I get to doze in peace.
