Hero.
When you hear of that word, you might think of someone fantastic.
Someone who saved the world, someone who defeated evil.
But not all heroes win.
Some are lost along the way, while other are left behind. Some heroes don't even get recognize. Now, i have to confess something. I am a hero. I did not defeat a villain, i did not save the world.
All i did was survive
At night, all I can think of is ways of ending all this misery and pain that I have inside me. Then the battles begin. My mind changes to a battlefield, and my enemy is my thoughts.
And I don't think I'm winning anymore.
Because of this, I always have to remind myself of something.
Hero. I'm a hero. I'm a hero.
I can't. Saying this would be lying, and I don't want to get my wings stained anymore. They are already broken, they are already shattered, but they still have white specks on them. And that gives me courage.
When I go to public, I put on my brave smile back on to my face, even though it's fake. People push me around and just ignore the fact that i am a hero. Society needs to realize that not all heroes have superpowers. Not all heroes wear a cape. Not all heroes get a happy ending.
And yes. I think it is safe to say that i, a broken girl with hopeless hope, am a hero
