Summer time and the world stretches her arms
Basking in wonderment to all those earthly charms
Pretty blue skies that float high above
Dotted by the whitest wings of a dove
Marshmallow clouds waft in lackadaisical way
Full of cotton fluff skimming fields of yellow hay
Meadows lay lush with buttercups poking their heads
Cows are sleeping and not willing to rise from soft beds
Cast off heavy sweaters and allow pale skin to melt
This is the life and where all our dreams dwell
She’s smiling and wants our happiness to grow and to spread
Stroll down summer’s path, take her hand and be lead.
