It was silence that tasted bittersweet death.
It was silence, not words nor tears.
It was the quiet soul that've never spoken
To the world's forsaken fears."
Were the words heard from a deaf-mute's mouth
Mumbling voicelessly out loud.
"Akin to pain, the choice of words."
Said I, to him in vain.
" 'Though tongue have I, not one decides
To hear what I should say."
He gave me back a truant stare
With eyes afflicting throes.
He'll never see my lavish gains;
Much more, my pangs of woe.
