I Once Was Blind But Now I See
The Melodic Birds Have All Been Stilled
The melodic birds have all been stilled for my ears are now dear.
I am unable to hear the birds outside my window any longer.
They have gone to another place.
Sadness grips my heart to know they have left for another year.
The joy and happiness that was mine to have is gone.
It seems like a death has occurred of a voice that was melodious and strong.
Jesus knows where they are so I am at peace with this knowledge.
Jesus makes all things good and right to bear though we don't see how at times with our finite minds.
The melodic birds have all been stilled as we said for another year until the weather breaks for us.
Rejoice with the memories you have someone tells me which they are right with what they have to say.
I do have pleasant memories of the birds singing and forever they will cause my heart to be glad.
