Mom and a Particular Christmastime

Mom was one to always pay the bills within our family.
Mom would be up of a nighttime wondering how this or that was going to be paid.
Mom incessantly did this month after month for she was unable to rest.
I remember myself accompanying her; in the living room many times.
The happiness Mom had was the paying of the bills and knowing she was helping Dad to have a good credit record.
Well, one Christmastime Mom and Dad had saved all year for us.
The total was a good amount to say the least.
Mom told us whatever we wanted for Christmas was to tell them and she would order it for us.
So, one Christmas was now here.
I told Mom I wanted a new stereo, records, and  a Bible.
Mom and Dad saw to it that is what I received.
Joy permeated my heart to know I would get what I had  hoped.
Soon the big day arrived and under the tree were the items I had said.
Then the same thing was true of my older brother; in what he wanted.
So we had a great Christmastime this  particular year and memories to share.
Jesus was part of our lives at this time without my even knowing Him personally.
