The Man Named Herbert Rotchford

There is a precious and wonderful man by the name of Herbert.
He lives not far from here and has a heart of love for the people he knows.
Through his time on earth he has now seen a faltering of himself toward the end of time.
Sometime Herbert will be gone and become a memory of who he was.
I will have missed someone great; in my life and heart that won't be easy to get over.
Leaving behind his dear wife, Judith, a son, Wade, and grandchildren--Bailey and Cathy.
A daughter-in-law--Mary is last but not least a part of  his life.
There is a place for myself but I remain last for I was last to meet him.
A treasure to all of us is who Herbert is and a brother to me.
Joy permeates the heart thinking of the times of his young life as a paratrooper; in the Armed Forces.
Sadness to know he was a prisoner of a war that had gone down; in history.
I am most proud of my brother, Herbert, for all he has done and the way he kidded me throughout our time of knowing one another.
Never again will I hear his voice if the Lord doesn't intervene.
We are praying he will bounce back to this as he has other times.
But it isn't likely at this point; in time.
