Since we have confidence,
Within the new promise;
Holding a new defense,
From what is hideous.
We speak very boldly,
About the things to come;
But not to act coldly,
Or treat someone like scum.
We are not like Moses,
Who had covered his face;
The veil he did possess,
Was not for a disgrace.
He wanted not to show,
The glory fade away;
As you should all know,
How to trust and obey.
Your mind can become closed,
Since the veil is still there;
As the testimony imposed,
That he really did care.
Only Christ can remove,
The veil that shrouds your head;
For bad thoughts to improve,
And the ugliest dead.
If you turn to the Lord,
The veil is taken down;
Your prayers are not ignored,
To be given your crown.
The Lord is the Spirit,
With freedom to reflect;
On what you inherit,
If you do not neglect.
So with an unveiled face,
The glory of the Lord;
Cannot be a disgrace,
Being in one accord.
