For three-quarters of a year
Each moment lived in silly fear
That you would not be what I`d need
But when you came I saw the seed
Of your father loud and clear
And I grinned from ear to ear
Yes you had my big blue eyes
But in every otherwise
You were your Daddy's` double lad
No doubt that he was your dad
You suffered much in your young years
Your nature kept you from the tears
Later only twenty odd
You fought cancer, beat the sod
Though sometimes you are still ill
Somehow my lad you find the will
To go on and fight again
Though you live in lots of pain
I am proud of your great strength
Know you`ll go to any length
To do in life the things you should
Oh my boy, hang on, be good
May this birthday bring you cheer
Happy birthday many more
I pray are waiting at your door
Fill them up with joy and love
