Parallel lines By aldo kraas, www.PoetryPoem.com/poet11586 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
Two lines that run side by side,
Jumping each hurdle together
From the day they met.
Over time
These two lines will drift apart...
Leaving one alone and bewildered.
While they run their courses
The days turn into weeks and months
Until years have past.
In the horizon they see each other.
Moving closer together,
Like they once were.
But it doesn't stop once in line again.
They keep growing closer and closer
To the point where all they need to do
Is reach out and grab on to the other.
But...
It is impossible for them to ever meet.
And once again,
They are pulled away from each other,
Shattering every dream they had,
Until the line up perfectly,
Running through life side by side
Because they are parallel lines.
