Blind to the clutter By aldo kraas, www.PoetryPoem.com/poet11586 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
i am blind to the clutter, wasting
space, sucking the air from my
dark room.
if i need something, i have
something, i understand each
part.
i breath like a timepiece and
walk the purposeful
steps of a farmer
planning a field, a fisherman
mending nets. i set out
to a nearby town.
blind to the clutter, i have six
decades of seeing potential
where others see nothing.
i stop along the way to
collect stones for a
wall i am building.
i command my back in crooked
harmony and know what
a general knows
issue order under my
breath. as a general who sees
the plan,
not the soldier who
only sees the bullet
coming.
if the wall is ever built it
will keep me safe and
make me god like.
for i have hidden faith in here.
a carton marked caution
in red letters.
i have somewhere in the
clutter a grail and
a bottle of gall.
