Mom and Mr. Stroud

The scenario is where my dad worked all night long and was tired.
Mom was out with her children; my brother and myself.
Along came Mr. Stroud wanting to see Dad.
Mom refused him entrance to our home.
He refrained his wish and Mom reacted.
Upon finding a bottle alongside the porch, Mom picked up the bottle.
She told Mr. Stroud in no uncertain terms of her decision of what she was going to do with the bottle.
I never seen an older man walk so fast down the road than Mr. Stroud.
Mom was determined to have Dad to rest from a long night's work.
He was not to be bothered at all by anyone and least of all the landlord.
It may seem funny but Mom wasn't laughing at the time.
She was serious of Mr. Stroud staying away from my dad.
