I urge you to make petitions,
And in your prayers intercessions;
Prayers for your thanks as well as hope,
For your faith helping you to cope.
Prayers for both the queens and the kings,
Even leaders with power that clings;
Not just allies but also foes,
That God will judge the path they chose.
Pray for these and all the people,
Who know not Christ and the Gospel;
So that they have a peaceful life,
Enabled to cope with any strife.
For it is good and pleases God,
Praising to bring honor and laud;
As we shall live a godly way,
Reverent and humbled each day.
Let all the people learn the truth,
Never let them become uncouth;
But assist in being a guide,
Showing others how to abide.
Show that there is only one God,
Any others would be a fraud;
And our God is three in one,
The Father, Spirit and the Son.
Christ was killed to free us from sin,
Allowing us to enter in;
To Heaven for the salvation,
Making us a new creation.
This message is good for all time,
For human error causes crime;
As I am spreading the Good News,
A message that the Lord construes.
So I teach both pagan and Jew,
On what they are needing to do;
For a faith that is right and true,
Claiming His promises for you.
