The Big Oak Tree

There are many trees one is able to see all over this land.
There are the famed Redwoods.
There are many trees within the forest in different localities.
But the one that comes to mind as being so sturdy is the big oak tree.
It stands tall and the branches overhang above the highway.
There is a certain amount of pride that is felt while looking at the big oak tree.
Joy permeates the mind seeing it and hearing the wind through the limbs
With the love and encouragement I have been freely offered by those who love me I stand as the big oak tree.
My arms reaching out to touch another human being.
The wind blowing my hair as I stand up to its strength.
Freedom to stand on my own two feet figuratively and being counted among the strong.
This is the symbolism for me that sets me apart from a twig unable to care for itself.
May God continue to build within me character and fortitude to handle any situation that occurs.
Knowing as I have the strength to withstand the wind I will be strong and firm.
