Mom and Mr. Bruce Goodwin

Back in the 1950's, my parents rented a house on Arendell Street.
It was a four room house with a bath.
The rent wasn't much but the times were hard to pay it at times.
Mr. Bruce Goodwin was the fellow owner of the house along with Mr. Stroud.
Mr. Goodwin was the one who was a gracious and understanding man.
He never caused us any undo worry or problems but helped where he could.
I liked to see Mr. Goodwin coming to the house to talk with Dad.
He was non-obtrusive and always cordial to everyone.
We had a good landlord with him and he was always honest.
Mr. Stroud was too hung up on himself to be kind to anyone.
He wasn't liked very much by other people.
This is when my brother and I didn't know the world worry for we didn't have any.
I remember being a boy that ventured into things and found myself  in trouble most of the time.
This is how  I was but have since then of course matured.
I thank the Lord for giving me these memories for they are good and positive ones that was helping me to build character.
