Poetic Feelings

          MY SHINING LIGHT

          

          I've had a bright light in my life for years,

          That light was so bright it could dry my tears;

          It was so bright it could cheer a lonely night,

          And so cool it could keep me out of a fight;

          

          Sometimes when I was feeling depressed,

          My light would shine on what was best;

          When my persistent light was out of sight

          My well-trained conscience kept me upright.

          

          Tonight my beautiful light slowly faded away,

          I'm going to miss that bright glow every day;

          The light that helped keep me peaceful and calm,

          Always came straight from my beautiful Mom.
