Joy and sorrow By aldo kraas, www.PoetryPoem.com/poet11586 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
Sorrow hides in beauty
Standing alone
Living under the moonlight
casting shadows through
the forest
Where only deepness grows
Leaving tiny pools of tears
along the forest floor
Joy in her beauty
shinned like summer's morning
Radiant
Filled with laughter
Always singing under the sunshine
Walkingthrough the flowers
on a glorious morn
Looking upon each other
They knew they could never be as one
Even as they spoke to one another
trying to see a way to come together
They felt a kingly presence
in their midst
A great holy awe overwhelmed them
For in their midst stood the king of kings
Sorrow saw joy in him
For on his head are many crowns
Before him all my sorrow is melted away
into deathless love and gladness
I give myself to him
Joy saw sorrow in him
for all the agony he suffered
I see a king of sorrow with a crown of thorns
on his head
Nail prints in his hands and feet
are the scars of terrible agony
I give myself to him
For sorrow with him must be sweeter
than any joy I have ever known
So they became one
They cried in gladness
For no one but he could unite joy and sorrow
Therefore theywalked hand in hand
into the world to follow him
Through storms and sunshine
Through winters severe cold
And the warmth of summer's gladness
To be sorrowful
Yet always rejoicing.
