God is our refuge and strength,
Persevering at any length;
Ever present in times of trouble,
Rescuing us from the rubble.
That is why we are not afraid,
He is prepared to render aid;
Even at times when the earth shakes,
God calms our fears that it makes.
If a mountain falls in the sea,
No fear is coming over me;
Even with a tsunami wave,
Fear will not hold me as a slave.
There is a river that brings cheer,
To the city of God I hear;
The holy place where the Most High,
And never has a teary eye.
A place where the darkness is gone,
No more dusk or the break of dawn;
A place where angels do rejoice,
When God topples kings with His voice.
The earth melts at the sound of God,
Nations in turmoil when flawed;
The Lord of Armies remains bold,
For our God is a stronghold.
Come see the works of our Lord,
The destruction cannot be ignored;
As He puts an end to all war,
Army of saints even the score.
Let go and release your concerns,
To know in Heaven who sojourns;
Be still and know that He is God,
For certain to honor and laud.
God rules over all the nations,
Creator of all creations;
The ruler of Heaven and earth,
And giving life unto each birth.
