Feeling this poison crawling down my throat,
either slow and painful or fast and unmemorable.
This is where I'm headed,
down a place streetlights can't reach.
I'm freaking, I'll crumble,
fumbling through the choices I should've made
while I don't know where I'm falling next.
Take everything and put it in a pile,
I'm about to strike a match.
People like to go out in style,
but I'm going through a tough patch.
Key away at buttons made for enjoyment,
but I find no joy in an empty contacts list.
Is it all a means to stay relevant, stay together
for the times where you can't catch yourself?
I can't catch myself and I can't keep my eyesopen forever,
all I once held has it's hold on me
and now I'm down a dark path.
I'm here telling my tales about how much time means to me
but I don't keep it on me, because it's out of my reach.
Feeling this poison crawling down my throat,
either slow and painful or fast and unmemorable.
