I am a living shrine
to the love
that was you.
Let them layer their condolences
on your grave
that is me.
Ritually I adorn myself
with thejewels
that you knew.
Now they are holy relics too.
Like the hole-y pantyhose
I wore that day,
and that tiny,
crumpled notebook
from where I recited
the deepest wishes
of my daisy-heart
at your confessional.
Paint my wardrobe black,
I walk the line now.
Keeping Kali in my pocket,
for me toone day
realise
the reason
why
she
executed
you
from our existence.
Stole you from me.
Stole me from you.
Blossom,
I'll light a candle for you
Every year
On your birthday.
How do you keep
a drop of water
from drying
up?
By pouring it into the ocean.
