Her irony By aldo kraas, www.PoetryPoem.com/poet11586 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
Limbs once frantic, suddenly grew limp,
As the clock in the chamber struck two,
And the clockwork did tick and click and clank on,
Though the queer pendulum hung,
Cold, asphyxiated and blue.
And of all in life that could have killed,
Death had rested in her surrender,
And even death did smirk at the grotesque irony,
How three feet above was good as six feet under.
