Fire of desire By aldo kraas, www.PoetryPoem.com/poet11586 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
Initially thought to be an impossibility
Starts off as a humble spark
A drowning but attractive glow
In the ever-encasing dark
Slowly the unwelcome darkness slips away
With cautious excitement, a warm glow comes into view
Carefully pushing the murk aside
Without any further adieu
But as it begins to burns further and further
Fate proclaims it was meant to be
Whatever tries to hinder you is like coal and
Will be burned with a sense of glee
Determinations builds
Feel it not just linger but also consume you inside
Power hungry, flames of desire soar and grow
What you want will no more be denied
That of which was detrimental and more
Smolders in the thick, toxic smoke
But they're not alone in this now tremendous blaze
And you begin to choke
This supremacy you received was premature
The greed rotted your soul
Flames of Your creation soared higher and you were burned
Blackened, like a piece of coal.
