A prayer to the vapor By aldo kraas, www.PoetryPoem.com/poet11586 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
lost to definition, sent to be
our sweetening balm, weighed
on scalesleveraged in secular debt,
why should we listen?
what would change, the
bloody foot prints not withstanding,
in seasonal shifts and calendar?
different light bending in different rays
showing different colors?
should we witness the twist inclouds
the consecration of law beyond
touch, the potent display of mystery,
a turbulence above us unseen
save for the vapored breath of god,
would we cower or stand in frozen love?
to where might we escape, to be
unknown, blended in to an
indistinguishable.
having failed in disguise, we turn to
the promise of pitiful words and pray;
we are small, let us move.
