Loneliness By aldo kraas, www.PoetryPoem.com/poet11586 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
I tell myself I don't get lonely
and most the time it's true.
But it's when I begin to think of you,
I realize just how lonely I am.
It's not a constant feeling,
Just an underlying disease.
Hidden very well in the depths of me.
It's that soft ache
when I'm lying awake, in bed, at 2am
Wishing I wasn't feeling anything
And I'd do anything for sleep.
I convince myself that it'll go away
And that I can handle it one more day.
