Observing the morning doves By aldo kraas, www.PoetryPoem.com/poet11586 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
The morning doves
Most often are noticed as a pair
Perched together in a tree
Doting with care
When they takeflight
One flies
The other follows close by
Together they alight to the sky
I've heard it said
Gentle as a dove
But I see the birds seem to
Embody close love
On the ground I notice
Other birds don't flutter away
Or exhibit any fear
Whenever the doves are near
The doves seem to exhibit
Harmony and peace
The other birds respond
By sharing the same space
And so I see there is
Something to the saying
As gentle as a dove
They personify some aspects of love
