Choking on forbidden fruit By aldo kraas, www.PoetryPoem.com/poet11586 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
This disease is like the release of wolves
Jabbing thorns that pierce my throat
I grasp at them, ripping out my flesh
And my desperation leaves me choked
Are you the fallen guardian
Once veil to His effervescent shine
You who knows the entire truth
You the father of all lies
Are you sitting in the garden
Speaking out my name
Plating for me forbidden fruit
Seasoning my shame
Because traces of this forbidden fruit dribbles down my chin
And every time Iwipe it off you begin to shove more of it in
Trapped inside an endless cycle, ending where I begin
Every time I give into, lustful whispers blowing in the wind
Where are You Lord, I implore, I need cleansing from my sins
Because Lucifer knows when I'm at my lowest and tries to take me under his wings
Im exhausted and I've almost lost it, I've tried everything
Jesus, I need you
I call upon Your strength
In Your name I pray to stray never again!
