Aftertaste By aldo kraas, www.PoetryPoem.com/poet11586 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
Stitched up my lips to trap the noise in my head,
Shaking, and rattling all the thoughts that I dread,
It's just funny to me that you forgot about your friends,
But you have no problem speaking to the aftertaste instead.
Let's not pretend,
This about the loss that I helped you mend,
And I never had to drink warm rum with you while you were sobbing by your bed,
But I did because I loved you like the paper loves the lead,
Just remember when you had nobody that I was with you hanging on by a thread,
Swinging from problem to problem cause "this is OUR brotherhood" remember that's what you said,
So don't you ever say that again when you call me late at night wishing you were dead,
Cause we're done here, so this how it ends.
