Cockle doodle do(fun poem 172) By aldo kraas, www.PoetryPoem.com/poet11586 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
Tinkle, tinkle, tinkle went my tricycle bell
when I was a little kid
to warn everyone to watch out
I was coming through.
I grew up and two wheels I road.
Burring, Burring, Burring went my bell
as I rode around warning everyone
to get out of the way.
A few more years went by and my mode
of transport changed from pedal power to motor engine
and it had a horn which went
tonk, tonk, and tonk whenever I came around.
From two wheels I changed to four
and my horn sound like a sick rooster
calling at the crack of dawn
as I drove around making everyone jump until one day.
A car stopped in front of me
and the driver was an angry man
who grabbed my horn and shoved it down my throat,
now every time I cough I go cockle doodle do.
