Those days By aldo kraas, www.PoetryPoem.com/poet11586 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
I remember the endless excitement
The days were so generous, so caring, so kind
They painted an infectious smile on your virgin face
You laughed so hard it hurt
You laughed so hard you cried
You laughed so hard that you later laughed about laughing
And then you laughed some more
Oh how those days were great
Now your body aches
Your mind is exhausted
And everyone is gone
Sitting alone on a white plastic chair
You realize hope has run away never to return
And laughter, oh I remember that
Looking up at the partly cloudy sky
Thebeautiful blue and white partly cloudy sky
A powerful sadness paralyzes you
You close your eyes and fake a smile
Oh how those days were great
