Put a kiss on your pillow
I came here by starlight, got a lift from the moon,
With a dreamkeeper's key, I entered you room,
Took a moment to study, the way that you slept,
Put a kiss on your pillow, I'd heard that you wept.
I'm not real by your rules, I live in a heart,
Somewhere far away, passed the earth, passed the stars,
I'm a notional creature, of love and content,
Put a kiss on your pillow, I'd heard that you wept.
I live far away, though I'm always close by,
The heart that I live in, is hurt by your cry,
You may never see me, I'm here nonetheless,
Put a kiss on your pillow, I'd heard that you wept.
In a place far away, beyond life’s short embrace,
If you’re ready I’ll take you, where your lover awaits,
Your tears drew me to you, I respond to distress,
Put a kiss on your pillow, I’d heard that you wept,
