The emotion of music By aldo kraas, www.PoetryPoem.com/poet11586 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
It's when I put the headphones on,
the moment that the beat
pulses through my ears. All I hear
can only be described with emotions:
That text that you wake up to.
Telling a joke to a crowd; everyone laughs.
Noticing the afternoon sun layering the world in a golden hue.
Your first kiss.
Your last kiss.
Any kiss.
Lying down after a long day.
The warm embrace of another person.
Receiving a gift that you have always desired.
Looking into her eyes.
Looking into his eyes.
Looking into their eyes.
Waking up alone; again.
Breaking someone else's favorite cup.
Seeing someone you care about with eyes tear-filled.
Wishing someone would be yours.
Knowing someone isn't yours.
Not knowing someone.
Being made fun of; wondering if it's true.
Someone else telling you, - they - passed away.
Saying something you wish you could just take back.
Moments before "the talk."
Moments after "the talk."
The talk.
It's not just about the music; the
rhythmic beat and somewhat catchy
lyrics. It's the feeling while
wearing the perfect headphones.
