This is a quiet scream
The loudest thing
To escape my mouth
A shout and a whisper
At the same time
A few lines
That rhyme
And chafe a blister
On your mind
So please hear me
Because I hold dearly
The words that I speak
That reveal that I'm weak
That remind me to stay meek
That I can't help but release
Onto paper into text
I truly am a mess
But you wouldn't know it
Because I don't show it
Except for now I guess
