Welcome to My Poetry Site

thirteen wraps,
to the hangmans' noose,
oiled and well lubed.

thirteen steps,
to the platform rise,
careful, watch your step.

one last time to make your peace,
with the one creator.
the hood now goes on overhead,
breaths are short and fast.

move over to the door...
that falls away below...
the levers pulled,
the body drops,
the crackling of the neck,
the body lives no more.

thirteen steps to heaven,
or thirteen steps to hell.
