My road is uncertain
That's one thing that sure
If I knew what was hurtin'
I could seek me a cure
But something was broken
That much I know
I've been hurting'
Since a long time ago
I really miss having
A place to run to
Smiling eyes and loving arms
That reach out to hold you
And I'm saying
Before I go
I wish somehow
You could know
I know it's confusing
It must be I'm sure
You may think I'm using
Or just being demur
But it's a little complicated
And however I'd like to explain
I'm afraid it would only be in vain
It always goes back to pain
There's more to a life
Than just a lifetime
I could lie and just skywrite
That everything is fine
There's just a place
I keep for you
And that's for all time
In this broken heart of mine
I really miss having
A place to run to
Smiling eyes and loving arms
That reach out to hold you
