I was told there'd be cake....
the man in the black suit
pointed to the buffet table
where I seen a barrage of different colors
and countless numbers of different courses
to where I would find the chocolate cake
I asked? I was consumed by the very thought
not thinking or paying attention to the various
spectators trying to stir up a rousing
conversation but at last.... to no prevail
my vision was then turned to the silver fork
who's shiny surface lit up the room
or least the dark little room in my head
so I further my advances and use the
fork as my guild to find the golden filled
and chocolate covered cavalry, then came
the day my salvation was met, the treasure
trove of tasty, angel filled delight, drove
me almost to the point of tears, I tore off a napkin
grabbed a plate and punctured the perfectly
well rounded body, it was beautiful.....
except for one thing...... it's wasn't chocolate
it was strawberry.....
