There's an old saying
Home is where the heart is
I see it from time to time
In different places
Spoken from unfamiliar faces
My question to you
Is this honestly true
Cause I wrack my brain
Trying to think
Of a place that felt like home
But I'm unable to do so
And it's forming heartache
Realising I only have an understanding
Of this sayings concept
Do I somehow lack the ability
To see the supposed love around me
Even though these walls feel so cold
Set with as their foundation
Fueled with so much hatred
I try to soothe it's mistreatment
But this house although it cries out
Withdraws from the hand
That's trying to comfort it
Wondering if it's just a lost cause
Is it time to pack up and move on
I've already started over once
Maybe that wasn't enough
