Sixties decade (Sonnet) By aldo kraas, www.PoetryPoem.com/poet11586 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
A way back in the groovy sixties decade
To-day's baby bombers were tapping their feet
To the beat of popular music's lade
That was a time when sounds were so sweet
"Don't Let The Sun Catch You Crying" didspin
On the English hit parade for some time
"Good Vibrations" aboard a surfboard's fin
Took a turn on a radio speaker's chime
Dylan's lyrics messaged peace and love
Which long haired hippies did grasp real well
World unity on the white wings of a dove
"The Answer My Friend" not in a bullet shell
Those flower power days now an era past
Yet fond they stay in tunes that e'er last
