Mom and One Christmastime

I think being able to go back in your mind to another time is wonderful.
I think of such a time with Mom and a Christmastime we had.
Mom had cleaned all day at mopping the floors and such.
We had that night ordered from the outside an oyster plate.
Having a 10 ounce bottle of Pepsi was my choice for my drink.
I had put the bottle down on the floor and it tipped over.
I felt so bad about what had happened I began to cry.
Mom didn't get angry as she could have and cleaned up the mess.
I looked over at the Christmas tree on the table and had to smile.
Mom was like this all the time and never fussed about things happening.
Mom had a love within her heart that was most genuine and remained so till she passed away in 2002.
This is the incident that happened and I recall the events that occurred.
Mom was my best friend; in the whole world and it took her death to show me.
I am sorry Mom for the wrong I have done and ask you to forgive me for each offense.
You deserved better than what you got from me and it saddens me today.
