I will tell you of a little girl
She is skinny
Fair skinned
With Platinum blonde hair
This little girl
So fragile
So strong
Is internally struggling
Her father
Kind and loving
Is a man that she looks up to
His strength is physical
And his love for his family is unobtainable
However that is the reason
This poor little girl
Is internally struggling
Her father is a Marine
He leaves her without a father for a year
Although her future is financially set
She does not care
This little girl is fatherless
Her bear hugs
Daddy dates
And helping mommy feel better as she cries
Are gone for an entire year
As she grows she hopes
When he see's her
He will be surprised
And proud of the person she has grown to be
That when he is finally home
She will no longer feel alone
That she will finally have her daddy back
But the thing this little girl struggles most with
The thing she is ashamed of
Is she is used to not having a dad
So as he walks through the door
When he is finally home
She has to get use to no longer being alone
The little girl
Can at last
Have her daddy back
