Do not say anything, That would hurt another; Agony it might bring, With tears to a brother. Speak only what is good, To enable to give; The assistance that would, For helping them to live. So whatever you say, Will help all those who hear; Put their trust and not stray, As well as calming fear. Put away the falsehood, Speak the truth to each one; So it is understood, Of the love through the Son. Show anger but sin not, Let not to allow wrath; After sundown you ought, Bring peace onto your path. For when the darkness grows, Gives Satan an invite; As your anger then shows, Access into your night. Never give His Spirit, Reason to be upset; For what you inherit, Might not be what you get. His seal is upon you, For when you are set free; As your thoughts will be true, Without sin that you see. Get rid of bitterness, Loud tempers and railing; For certain God will bless, So you have smooth sailing. C Copyright © 2015 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
