This summer I will fall in love By aldo kraas, www.PoetryPoem.com/poet11586 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
The air is cold
As I step out in the dark
And everything I own
I carry quietly across the yard
Escape through the second floor window
I love every single bone I broke
Tuck my collar up
So tight I feel that I might choke
For months I have spent
My time up on the shelf
In every step I take tonight
There is nothing but myself
For now I'm set a glow
Off and on, down the street
Looming like a shadow
night carries on and sleeps the city
As I leave....
There is nothing I know
To keep me from feeling alone
There is no one I know
To save me from my home
must be something out there
To guide my hand above
So I can Feel the wind in my hair
This summer I will fall in love
These dirty lights
pierce the sky
Devoured by the tree line
As they escape my eye
Lying on the grass
My hands upon my chest
I hear someone approach
As I lay my past to rest
I can speak a thousand truths now
I found them all in your eyes
And thank god that I found out
Cause I have come alive
You spend for ever thinking
This will never happen for you
Surprised as they start saying
They felt that same thing too
The morning's grace
A sunny window's embrace
The dew collects outside
This summer I fell in love
