I sit...(Letter form)... By aldo kraas, www.PoetryPoem.com/poet11586 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
I open up an empty message with your number,
just to imagine texting you.
Waiting for a message and hoping that by some chance,
you're thinking of me too.
Do you ever stare at my picture like I do you?
Do you ever wish you knew how often I think of you?
I sit by the dock and have visions of you,
my mind never left, in a dream I'm kept.
Your love gripped my soul,
making it impossible to forget.
I'm living in a wonderful world,
full of hurt and regret.
I'm still trying to decide what would have been best.
None of this would have happened if we hadn't met.
Would you choose to meet me if we could do it again?
But if you had one wish would you choose to forget?
There's a lot I would undo if God would allow.
But beyond a shadow of a doubt, I'd relive every moment
to see you again.
This lifetime of pain is worth suffering for every second
we spent. I'd rather live in the ashes of what we built
than to never have known our perfect world.
I'd go blind just to see you one last time.
I'd give up my hands to touch you once again.
I've accepted the reality that my heart will never stop
loving you. Even though it hurts that I may never live
another day by your side...
