Wind- a love poem By aldo kraas, www.PoetryPoem.com/poet11586 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
it is in the nature
of wind to be replaced.
it is its habit to disrupt with its kiss,
to twist on stem
queen anne and chicory,
drive constant on the plains.
wherever wind goes
it touches, it must.
whatever touched
done so thoughtlessly, thoroughly.
wind can be hidden
from, never defeated.
what we think, attempt,
changes nothing.
wind is thebroker of sound
opens it as flower, spreads
it to our ears.
pushes its voice beyond
the complaining bent
hunched tree into
a territory of legend.
wind scrapes the future
wind distracts,
shoulders the blame
for uneasy eyes,
heavy hands
wind brings fatigue.
to an unknown country
she offers discovery
as well, protection.
and tonight through our
window it calms me
to the blood.
so that i will save
these musings for tomorrow,
leave my pen
and go to you
to sleep without words
thinking the smell of you
is common to the wind.
