i write to feel
sometimes but not so much to think
to see more than what's outside
to reach inside
reminding myself
the depths of my core,
that it's not simple
it's unpredictable
deep inside
unique, still there.
what happens at the surface
is just weather
sometimes good sometimes bad,
it passes,
but the core is
endlessly deep
mostly unexplored.
writing is one way
to explore it,
to share part of it.
but it's not enough,
it's kinds of selfish,
and it doesn't pay the bills.
sometimes it's addictive
yes, like a drug
and time to take a break,
to learn how to stop or restart,
by doing something else,
not forgetting it's still there,
endlessly deep
at the core.
