You may not miss me when I'm gone,
But I know it'll be hard for you to throw away the paper rose,
Vacant memory flows,
Leaving spaces for new faces
And meaningless I love you's.
I know you pay no mind
To everything we left behind.
I know you don't care
When I catch you stare,
Maybe at me,
If that could be.
We come within inches from each other,
Avoiding all eye contact.
Afterwards I turn and look back.
I can't lie
I try and try
And I still can't figure out why
You think the way you do
You hate everything I stand for,
Yet you tell me you love me
And I don't understand how that could be.
I fell for you hard,
So much so that I broke my heart.
I know you don't think of me the I way I think of you.
And at Eleven Eleven I still wish you actually loved me too.
