It's not fair
I say as I watch her crying in despair
Choking on her tears she gags and I can only hold her hair.
All while thinking it's not fair.
Too see her eyes go from various shades of blue
Only to be left with no more color or hue.
I can only squeeze her tight
Bite my tongue he and tell her it'll be alright
But I just hate to lie.
And all I can do is think it's not fair.
She lost her soul, and so young too
She's not alive, and she's not even 22.
What would posses her to do such things?
She's in love or so she claims.
But her heart has burst into flames.
And it's only her she blames
It's not fair
As she pretends not to care
But at night she isolates herself and cries In despair
Her wounds beyond repair.
She still thought it could've been
But now she knows she'll never get to win.
It's not fair
And she knows that as shewipes her own tears
And stares blankly into her mirror
A I wish I had to the strength to persevere.
