My Thoughts Are With My Homeland

My Thoughts Are With My Homeland                     October 4, 2015

The wild Atlantic thunders against the rocks of home

My country far away, I am not alone

I remember the shamrock growing, another childhood thrill

Across the sea, will I go home, I think I never will

Boston town, New York, or the west coast far away

My thoughts are with my homeland, my body is here to stay

I can feel my past, just like yesterday

Far away, that's another day

The want for work and freedom, took me on my way

My new land of immigration is where I'm gonna stay

I think of my land and thank the powers that be

Living in my new land, equal and growing free

Walking tall beside them all with others just like me

Every nation of the world beside me, if only you could see

The great America's is where I want to be

Boston town, New York or the west coast far away

My thoughts are with my homeland, my body is here to stay

The wild Atlantic thunders against the rocks of home

My country far away,I am not alone
