Children Give A Care

Children Give A Care                    October 4, 2015

I'd like to meet the children on the other side of the wall

Maybe it will happen one day, we'll walk together proud and tall

I can hear the voices from the wall, they sound just like me

Divided by bricks and mortar, why can't they be free

I'd really like to meet them, I think they look the same

My friend behind the wall, don't judge me by my name

Do you like the things that I like, I want to be your friend

Could little kids like me and you bring this to an end

I know we can be free, would you like to play with me

I've thought about climbing the wall to see a friend like me

I know in other countries they do not have a wall

Bricks and mortar with twisted steel, can we rise above it all

I dream of my street without the wall, it's called the wall of hate

Growing free, you and me, mark the calendar, set the date

Show the world what love can do, free the children everywhere

Take it down, do it now, children give a care

I'd like to meet the children on the other side of the wall

Maybe it will happen one day, we'll walk together proud and tall
